Embracing Our Crossroads – A Commitment to Revitalize: Faced with the prospect of seeing Velvet Thorn, a place so dear to my heart, potentially fade away, I've made a resolute decision. The idea of letting go of this community, which I cherish deeply, pains me. So, instead of giving up, I am doubling down on my efforts to rejuvenate and reinvigorate our beloved sim. Daily, I am pouring my time into Velvet Thorn, actively working on the rebuild, crafting a new airship for our main area, and planning festive activities for our upcoming anniversary. These efforts are aimed at bringing our community back together, rekindling the vibrant spirit that has defined us. The new airship and the anniversary celebrations are not just projects; they are symbols of hope and renewal.
The Reality of Our Situation: Historically, Velvet Thorn thrived as a community fully supported by its members through donations and fundraisers. However, the recent financial upkeep, around $250 a month, has become a personal challenge. Donation jars are placed around the sim, and every contribution, no matter the size, is a beacon of hope. Together, we can return to a community supported and sustained by its members.
