Merfolk Magic!

It's Friday, it's time to party, the theme is underwater Merfolk Magic, so that obviously means it's time for a Sushi fight, right? Well, it made sense to us at the time... have a little look to see what my perv-cam captured while I sling tunes around amidst frankly hilarious banter :)

Happy Thornie Halloween!

I stole the stream for our Halloween celebration, and we had a costume contest!  Thank you for your generous gift cards, TenderLove, and congrats to our winners: Kayleigh, Indigo, and Owen!  Let's see some fantastic costumes!

Sunday Discussions

Ever wondered just exactly what goes on at the discussions, and how they work? This piece, from Kitty, might just help you get a better idea:

Sunday Morning Discussion – Report by KittyNinetails, discussion facilitator

There was a good turnout for the regularly scheduled Sunday morning discussion.   The topic this week was “Tops, Bottom, Dommes and Subs.”  The discussion was divided into two parts:  first there was a presentation in text on the difference between a Dominant and a Top, and a Submissive and Bottom.  We also touched briefly on Slaves and Switches. This was followed by open dialog between the attendees, in both text and voice.

This week, we heard a fascinating analogy about how people are like recording studio sound boards…  Last week, we discussed Protocol and heard some intriguing examples of different protocols used by some of our Domme/Sub couples…. The week before that, there was a discussion on D/s in SL.

The intent of the Sunday discussions is for us to:
•    learn from each other
•    share experiences
•    be able to ask questions in a safe and supportive environment
•    consider new viewpoints
•    experience community

Not everyone is able to use a mic or hear local voice chat, so an effort is made to accommodate both text and voice users.

While membership in the Velvet Thorn is always encouraged, you do not have to be a member to attend or participate in the discussions.

On a personal note, it is important to me that both Dommes and Subs have equal voice at the Sunday discussions and I would encourage both to attend.

See you next week!

Witches' Weekender

It's Hallowe'en week at Velvet Thorn, so expect to see plenty of spooks, skeletons, ghosts, witches and other scary things including DJ Squish, who played a blinder of a set last night at his "Witches' Weekender" party. As you will see, the costumes were as always fabulous, what you can't see is how good the music and the banter were, you'll just have to remember or imagine that.  Here's what my perv-cam grabbed:
